Bernina Braiding Foot 21V

Braiding Foot 21V makes quick work of couching thin ribbons, cords and rick rack, and is also ideal for projects with passementerie, braids and couched-cord patterns.

The foot has a bevelled hole that guides cords and decorative yarns for couching and related techniques. The bevelled cut-out on the underside of the foot allows for precision guiding of cords, narrow flat ribbons, braid, multiple strands of small cords, or wool/yarns, up to 3mm in diameter. A small notch on the front edge indicates the centre of the foot, allowing the precise placement of the couched yarn along a marked line or curve.

This foot enables you to create attractive appliqués and embellishments with cords and yarns on quilts, home furnishings and garments. It can also be used to sew narrow elastics in place along a sleeve or edge of a neckline.

This foot fits all current and recent electronic models, including Artista, Auroroa, Virtuosa, Activa, 215, 3 and 5 series models.
