Bernina Open Embroidery Foot With Non-Stick Sole 56

Bernina Open Embroidery Foot 56 with non-stick sole is a specialist when it comes to embroidering fabrics that are difficult or tend to stick, such as leather or plastic.

The indentation in the sole of the presser foot allows it to glide smoothly over dense stitches, making it not only suitable for embroidery work but also ideal for embellishing, sewing on trims and creating attractive appliqués.

Open Embroidery Foot 56 with it's special non-stick sole ensures smooth fabric feed, even over "sticky" materials.

The foot has a wide opening at the front to guarantee a good clear view of the stitching area. The wedge-shaped cut-out in the sole of the foot ensures perfect fabric feed when sewing decorative stitches, even over dense stitch formations. The angle in the indentation of the sole makes it possible to turn curves easily.

The toes of the foot are shorter, compared to the regular zigzag foot, which allows greater manoeuvrability while sewing, meaning you can turn the fabric more easily for smoother stitching lines - an important factor when embellishing fabric.

The design of the foot is ideally suited to Richelieu and circular embroidery, as well as to following lines and patterns.

Applications: satin stitching, decorative stitching, appliqué work, Richelieu/cutwork embroidery, circular embroidery, monograms, quilting, hemstitching, embroidery with twin needle, rolled edging, couching perle yarn.

This foot is the non-stick version of the standard metal Open Embroidery Foot 20.

This foot fits the old Bernina mechanical models from the 530 to the 1630, including the current 1008.
