Bernina Embroidery Foot 24
Free-motion (or Freehand) Embroidery Foot 24 presents an optimal view of the stitching area due to the open front of the foot - particularly advantageous when stitching along marked lines, or sewing small details. It also has a vertical spring-loaded (hopper) mechanism that presses the foot onto the fabric, preventing the material from pulling up with the needle (fabric flagging) when embroidering, thereby ensuring reliable, precise stitch formation. Ideal for a host of embroidery techniques where a clear, unobstructed view of the embroidery area is essential e.g. for free-motion and monogram embroidery, silk-ribbon or Richelieu embroidery, thread painting, micro-stippling and quilting projects. This foot fits the old Bernina mechanical models from the 530 to the 1630, including the current 1008.
