Bernina Cording Foot 25 (with 5 Grooves)
The grooves on the underside of Cording Foot 25 allow the simultaneous couching of several strands of cording lying side by side, and can accommodate finer yarns and wool, elastic thread etc. The cords are fed into the special grooves, which guide them securely. The swing-out latch positioned at the front on the top side of the foot holds the yarn or cords securely in place, preventing them from getting tangled during the sewing process. The result is a neat, consistently stitched, braid-like embellishment. There is also a 3 groove cording foot (Cording Foot 22), used for thicker strands of yarn or hand embroidery threads. This foot fits the old Bernina mechanical models from the 530 to the 1630, including the current 1008.
